The book pile is growing as summer gets closer. The Essential Ellen Willis arrived today and is the newest addition. As you can see the habit of drawing purchases is a hard one to break. #wdibt High-res

Thanks @armbrust for sharing your Aloe plant! She calls her plant “the twins” and they live on her dining room table in se Portland. Jenn says “they used to be three and I put one in a different pot and it died so I will never separate these two.” #otherpeoplesplants High-res

Today’s #otherpeoplesplants comes from @tinyparachutes. The plant is a hass avocado baby tree that she grew from a pit about a year ago. She says “it means a lot as it’s a plant that really represents where I’m from, Southern California and has somehow seemed to survive in a climate that’s colder than what it’s meant to be grown in. It spends its winters indoors, and soon will go outside to hopefully double in size, as it hasn’t really grown at all during the colder months. Unfortunately, it looks like my cat seems to also have an affinity for it. It’s totally surviving though, surprisingly enough.” High-res

Happy Birthday @adamrgarcia! I drew your Dracaena Deremensis named Otis! Otis lives in the corner and is pretty sassy. He needs lots of socialization and affirmation, but also enjoys his alone time. Otis likes to be watered between 9-11am on Sunday mornings, and can poke you in the eye when you get too close. He’s adopted. #otherpeoplesplants High-res
